When I got back to my crop, I put them on the mat & the Cameo cut them PERFECTLY! (Note: I always use a very small bleed line to avoid white edges around my cuts.) Once, I emailed PDFs of my Print&Cuts to someone else to print & then took that printout to a local store to copy. Yes, you CAN save as a PDF for printing elsewhere, just be sure that they print it at 100%, NOT "fit to page". A screen shot may lose resolution or save in a different size. I think most places like Staples can easily open PDF's. Just thinking, if I placed the registration marks and saved it as a screen shot jpeg would it work? My printer isn't the best quality.Īngeltbs, probably your best bet for printing at Staples would be to actually save it as a PDF with its registration marks on. Sorry to jump in, would this work for getting something printed a Staples? Does it open the document once you save it as a JPG or PDF and look like what you expect? Please let me know what am I doing wrong? When I open it in Photoshop nothing is there!!! I've tried saving it as a jpeg and a pdf and still I get a blank file. Then I clicked print and chose Bullzip, then I saved it as an eps. I've followed your directions and downloaded Bullzip and opened the file. HELP!!! So I'm trying to save a studio file as an eps so I can edit it in Photoshop Elements. I have been using this, but have found that I sometimes have trouble with Bullzip picking up the lines instead of the fill part of a pattern, even when I select "Print lines of selected". When the PDF opens in Preview save it in your choice of file formats. Just click the PDF button at the bottom of the print window. I think the default is 600 dpi so there is plenty of resolution.Īnd for any Mac people reading this thread, no extra sofware is required. The resolution is set in your preferences in Silh Studio. It's about as simple as clicking "print". PS: Update, I figured it out after much trying and can't believe how easy this works, yay! finally a way to email my work and/or post it online. Do you save it first to your projects? and then how you transfer it to bullzip? Any help so appreciated! how do you transfer the image to bullzip? sorry I don't know about this stuff. So after reading this I downloaded bullzip but now I am stuck. I have been looking for a way to save some of my work as jpegs and finally see a light at the end of the tunnel Ü Oh, I never looked to see if Bullzip would save as a JPG and not just a PDF. (you know what I mean.) Hooray for Silhouette, I am loving it. So glad that the Silhouette allows us options and not closed the door shut tight. Should have asked the question months ago. Golly gosh I shall be saving this thread as I was wondering how to do that also. I have not checked to see how the resolution is yet, but it is nice to know that it can be done. So I was able to select jpeg from a dropdown menu and save in that format. It WORKED! I downloaded BullZip PDF Printer and was actually able to CHOOSE what format to save in. (Plunking a couple coins into the slot on my computer :) ) I've never used the PDF option, but it sounds viable. Whatever you create in Studio can be printed on paper or saved as a PDF by "printing" to PDF. Second, print to PDF with a PDF printer like Bullzip. That will be saved as a PNG image that can be viewed almost anywhere. You have two options I know about to get those to be viewed from other sources.įirst, take a screen shot with a snipping tool (I don't know what operating system you're working with). The files can only be saved in Studio format. I'm a little paniced right now about having access to my own creations outside the Studio program. Please tell me I am ignorant and don't have enough experience. Please tell me I have overlooked something. If this is the case, it is completely unfair to keep people from saving their own work in a different format. I would think Silhouette isn't so obtuse as to believe that something made using their software belongs to anyone but the creator. Is there any way to export my own designs as images? I have a handful of original graphic renderings that I would like to save as an image in order to display them in my online shop.
